An avid adventure explorer with a history of island-hopping, Miss Yumi has lived on different coasts and led many lives. After a successful career in advertising, illustration and non-profit graphic design, she dabbled in retail, event photography and the performing arts before stepping back over to the communications field with marketing and public relations. In 2011, she launched Our Lady of Spades, a line of rosary-inspired jewellery to promote the awareness of sexual abuse and violence in collaboration with RAINN and THE KRISTIN MITCHELL FOUNDATION.

As a self taught mixed metal goldsmith (with the help of the Grace Mieloji and the Patuxent Lapidary Guild), Miss Yumi's latest line of jewelry ROGUERIES launched in January 2015. ROGUERIES feature esoteric rings and pendants made with the love of nature, the energy of magical numbers and the echoes of ancient places. A proceed of each sale is donated to a local charity.
